Tis The Season..

'Tis the season' to be busy! I have really been slacking on my blog the last few weeks. I have been busy with school programs, christmas parties and shopping! I'm happy to say that I have finished my Christmas shopping and can finally relax and update my blog! Braxton had his third grade Christmas program which was very entertaining. They sang a number of Christmas songs and played a song with their recorders.

Last year we started a new Christmas tradition with the Mickelsen's. We all get together to have dinner one night and afterwards we decorate gingerbread houses with the kids. I love this tradition. The kids have a blast designing their houses with icing and candy. When they are finished they are pretty proud of their creations!

I'm excited for this week! The boys are out of school and we have lots of things planned to do. One of our favorites is making sugar cookies together. The boys love decorating them and taking them to family and friends. Another Christmas tradition that we enjoy with the Mickelsen's is putting the star up on the Red Knoll and going for a wagon ride. We also have a Christmas Eve party with my family that has been a tradition for as long as I can remember. It has always been at my Aunt Carole's house in Gunnison. The kids favorite part is after dinner when we have a special visit from Santa!

O Christmas Tree!

Sunday we went up in the mountains to find a Christmas tree. The weather has been so nice lately that there wasnt much snow. That's good because we got to go farther up the mountain to find a tree.

The boys had fun just sliding down the road.

Searching for the perfect tree.

This is the one! Look how excited Joby is to have his pic taken.

The boys with their favorite buddy, Odie.

I love this one! Check out Odie in the back trying to be in the pic!

Weekend fun!

We started the weekend off with shopping on Saturday in Provo. I had my list all ready and knew exactly what I needed. My sister met us in Provo and took the boys to her house to play with their cousins. We then headed off to Toys R Us. I was so happy when we found everything that was on my list there. It's a good thing Joby was with me because I seriously have the hardest time making up my mind. I wanted to buy everything there! Our next stop was Sam's Club. CRaZy! It was nuts in there! We didn't spend to much time in there. We got our stuff and were on our way! Next stop was the Provo mall to get Joby a new phone. He surprised me when we got there and told the salesman that we both needed new phones. Yay! After we got our new phones we headed to Lehi to pick up the boys. We decided to take the boys to Temple Square to see the lights. The lights there were, as always, beautiful! I forgot my camera so I had to use my camera on my phone. The pictures arent the best quality, but you can still see how pretty it was there.

So thankful..

This is definitely the most wonderful time of year! I love Thanksgiving! Spending time together with family is something you can never get enough of. I have so many things that I should be doing today to get ready for tomorrow so this is going to be a short post.

I'm so blessed to have two healthy and happy boys in my life. Slade told me today that he was thankful for his family and heavenly father. I don't think it gets any sweeter than that. I'm thankful for a caring husband that works hard for his family everyday. I'm so thankful for my parents, to have them in my life and to have them living so close to us. I'm thankful for my sister and brother and their families. It's nice to know that I can always count on them when I need to. I'm so so thankful for both of our families. They are the best. Happy Thanksgiving!

"The Right Stuff"

Stop laughing, you know you loved New Kids On The Block too...when you were in middle school..lol! Yes, I went to the concert last weekend in Salt Lake. I went with my sister and two of her friends. That was probably the loudest concert I have ever been too. I'm thinking it was because more than half of the audience was girls and when they screamed it was very high pitched. My ears were ringing all night. I was very impressed by New Kids, they still had it! The dancing, singing, and making the girls still scream. Natasha Bedingfield opened for them and she was awesome! I love her music. My favorite was probably when New Kids sang their old songs. I could still remember the words. I even had Jordan Knight, the barbie doll when I was younger. Go New Kids On The Block...LOL! Thanks to my Sis, Jen , & Jen for a way fun night!
